BHEL Electronics Division invites professionals with domain knowledge (Naval ship controls) and Naval/Shipyard experience to be part of defence group at BHEL/ESD, Bengaluru. The Requirement details are given below:

BE/B Tech in the field of Electrical / Mechanical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation with at least 60% marks (50% for ST) in aggregate of all the years/semesters from recognized University/ Institution. Experience Requirements

1. Deputy General Manager (E6)

Candidate should have a minimum of 20 years cumulative experience in areas listed below:

A) Essential:

• Experience of IPMS and IBS and their interface with other systems OR Designing experience of IPMS OR Working experience on the platform(s) having IPMS onboard.

• Working knowledge of operation and maintenance of ship systems like Propulsion system, Automatic Power Management System, Battle Damage Control System, Stability Management and Auxiliaries etc.

• Experience in preparation/ evaluation of technical specifications for IPMS/IBS and associated electronics for any warship project OR experience in participating in software and hardware design

Deputy Manager (E3)

Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years cumulative experience in areas listed below:

A) Essential:

• Working knowledge of operation of systems like Propulsion system, Automatic Power Management System, Battle Damage Control System, Stability Management, and Auxiliaries etc. present in Naval Ships.

• Experience in installation of equipment onboard naval ships OR iFAT, WOT testing/Inspection, STW, HAT, SAT etc.

• Capability to understand SOTR (statement of technical requirements) for IPMS/IBS and conceptualization of the requirements OR Ability to evaluate techno-commercial offers in line with the requirements.

• Knowledge of current Naval practices & Standards OR Knowledge in Preparation of Documentation meeting Naval requirements.

• Ability to provide In-Service/onsite/onboard Support for IPMS/IBS using technical documentation.

B) Desirable:

• Capability to impart Training to customers on IPMS/IBS

• Knowledge of Repair and refit of Naval Ships

• Knowledge of System Engineering OR Subsystem engineering IPMS/IBS

• Ability to provide Technical Assistance to Production for IPMS/IBS

• Experience in Project Commissioning & Support of IPMS/IBS

• Knowledge of hardware validation & qualification of modules/systems for Naval applications

Reservation and Relaxation:

• Out of the 03 vacancies advertised, 02 are reserved for OBC and 01 for ST category.

• Vacancies reserved for OBC category are meant only for OBC candidates coming under 'Non-Creamy Layer' (NCL) as defined under Government rules at .

• Candidates belonging to ST category and Physically Challenged candidates are exempted from paying the processing fee.

• Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and 5 years for ST candidates.

• Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.

• Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for Physically Challenged candidates with Loco motor disability or Hearing Impairment. The definition of Loco motor disability and Hearing Impairment for Physically Challenged candidates is as per 'The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.

• Age Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen will be as per Central Government Rules.

• The upper age of the candidate after all the age relaxation applicable should not exceed 55 years.

Emoluments and benefits:

The selected candidates will normally be placed at the minimum of the pay scale and will be on probation for a period of one year. Besides the Basic pay (normally the minimum of scale), selected candidates will be entitled to a cafeteria of perks limited to 46% of their basic pay, Industrial Dearness Allowance (currently 98.1% of the basic pay). Other Allowances and benefit such as leave, leave Encashment, Medical facilities for self and dependent family members, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Performance Related Payment, Uniform, Subsidized Canteen Facitilities, Company's accommodation or HRA etc. will be admissible as per Company Rules as applicable from time to time.

Selection Process:

If the number of eligible applicants for a post is in the ratio of up to 1:10 to the number of vacancies, only Personal Interviews shall be conducted for all the eligible candidates. However, if the number of eligible applicants for a post exceeds the ratio of 1:10 to the number of vacancies, the number of candidates will be restricted for Personal Interview on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the Degree examination.

Health Standards:

Applicants should possess sound health. Before Joining, selected candidates will have to undergo medical examination by the Company's Authorized Officer and the appointment will be subject to meeting the health standards prescribed by the Company. General Instructions/Conditions:

1. Candidates should carefully fill up the Category (OBC/ST) in the application form and the required documentary proof should be enclosed with the application.

2. The posts as indicated in the Vacancy details are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Orthopedically Handicapped / Loco motor Disability/Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected (Right or Left) (OL) and / or One Arm Affected (Right or Left) (OA) or Hearing Impairment i.e. Deaf (D) or Partially Deaf (PD). However, such eligible candidates will be considered for selection by general standard of merit.

The definition of Loco motor Disability (Orthopedically Handicapped) and Hearing Impairment are as under:

Loco motor Disability (Orthopedically Handicapped) - means minimum 40% disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs.

Hearing Impairment - means loss of sixty decibel or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.

3. Candidates belonging to ST/OBC/Physically Challenged#/Ex-servicemen category should enclose self attested copy of the certificate issued by the Competent Authority to that effect. OBC candidates are required to submit Other Backward Class Certificate ('Non-Creamy Layer') (Certificate in the format as applicable for appointment to posts under Government of India, is to be produced). OBC candidates are also required to furnish a self-undertaking that they belong to OBC (Non Creamy Layer) by filling and signing the self ­undertaking provided in the print copy of the submitted online application form.

Non- Creamy Layer : The gross annual income of parents of the candidate should not be more than ' 6 lakhs or above or possessing wealth above the exemption limit as prescribed in the Wealth Tax Act for period of three consecutive years in line with DOPT OM No.36033/1/2013- Estt.(Res) dated 27th May, 2013.

#The Physically Challenged candidates are required to furnish self attested copy of duly stamped Medical Certificate in relation to their disability from Government Hospital or Medical Board attached to Special Employment Exchange for the handicapped.

4. Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed for the post for which they have applied. In case it is found at any stage of the selection process or even after appointment that the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information or suppressed any relevant information/material facts or does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature/services are liable for rejection/ termination without notice.
