Differently Abled.

Application are invited from the candidates for appointment to the posts of Orthotic Technician - 8, Multipurpose Rehabilitation Aid - 12 and Audiologist cum Speech Therapist- 5 in District Head Quarters. (will be placed in anywhere in Tamil Nadu).

1) Name of the post & Scale of Pay : ORTHOTIC TECHNICIAN,

PB2 Rs.9300 - 34800 + GP 4200

Must have obtained a Diploma in Prosthetic and Orthotic Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training under the Department of Technical Education. Government of Tamil Nadu or its equivalent qualification from the recognized institution; or Must have completed a National Trade Certificate under the Trade of Machinist from the Industrial Training Institute and National Apprenticeship Course of Prosthetic Orthotic Training from National Institute for Rehabilitation Training and Research, Cuttack, Orissa with a duration of eighteen months.

The maximum age-limit prescribed in this notification shall not apply to the candidates belonging to any of the Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward classes, Most Backward class and De-notified Communities who have passed Diploma or Degree in the relevant filed.

2) Name of the post & Scale of Pay : AUDIOLOGIST CUM SPEECH THERAPIST

Must have obtained a B.Sc Degree in speech Therapy and Audiology by the Government recognized Institutions

The maximum age-limit prescribed in this notification shall not apply to the candidates belonging to any of the Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward classes, Most Backward class and De-notified Communities who have passed Degree in the relevant filed.

3) Name of the post & Scale of Pay : MULTIPURPOSE REHABILITATION AID

i. Must possess the minimum General Educational qualification; and

ii. Must have obtained a Certificate in Rehabilitation-cum-Physiotherapy Assistant Course awarded by the Iswari Prasad Dattatroya Orthopedic Centre, Andhra Mahila Sabha, Madras (or) a certificate in Physiotherapy Technical Course awarded by the Government recognized Institutions.

The maximum age-limit prescribed in this notification shall not apply to the candidates belonging to any of the Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward classes, Most Backward class and De-notified Communities who have passed Certificate Course, Diploma or Degree in the relevant filed.

Candidates who belongs to above said communities, possess the above said qualification and age limit are requested to apply in the format published along with this advertisement by adhering the following terms and conditions.

i) Applications can be neatly typed in white paper on one side of the paper in double line space

ii) All applications should be sent only by Registered Post to State Commissioner, Commissionerate for the Welfare Differently Abled, K.K.Nagar, Chennai -78 at 5.30p.m. on or before 15.12.2015. Applications will not accepted after the specified time limit.

iii) On the envelope it should be specifically mentioned that “APPLICATION FOR

THE POST OF..................... “ (Name of the post to be mentioned)

iv) Candidates should attach the self attested Xerox copies of the following

documents with their application. Otherwise the application will be summarily

rejected.

a) Educational Qualification Certificate (8th passed certificate, S.S.L.C., or equivalent certificate & H.S.C.,)

b) Necessary technical education qualification certificates (i.e. Required Bachelor’s Degree certificate, D.P.T. certificate (or) DPOE.

c) Community Certificate

d) Employment Registration Card - Self attested Xerox copy

e) Transfer certificate obtained from the Institution where the candidate last studied.

f) Experience Certificate in relevant field.

g) Residential proof (Voter identity card or Ration card or Aadhar card)

h) Relevant document should be enclosed for claiming under priority category.

i) Following declaration should be furnished by the candidate should be attached

DECLARATION BY THE CANDIDATE

1. I hereby declare that all the particulars furnished in this application are true, correct and complete to the best of my knowledge and believe. In the event of any information being found false or incorrect or ineligibility being detected before or after the selection, action can be taken against me by the MRB.

2. I hereby declare that I will not be a party to any kind of canvassing on my behalf.

3. I further declare that I fulfill all the eligibility conditions prescribed for admission to the post.

4. I have informed my employer in writing that I am applying for this post and furnish the NOC for this purpose (if applicable).

5. I have gone through the instructions etc. to candidates and the Board’s Notification for this recruitment before filling up the application form.

6. I declare that I possess the Medical Standards prescribed for the post(s) which I am now applying.

7. I certify that I have not been debarred / disqualified by the Board or any other recruiting agency.

8. I am not a dismissed Government Employee.

9. There is no criminal case filed against me in the Police Station / Court.

10. There is no Vigilance Case filed against me in the Police Station.

11. I hereby declare that my character / antecedents are suitable for appointment to this post.

12. I declare that I do not have more than one living spouse.

v) If no Qualified and suitable women candidates are available for selection against the vacancies reserved for them, those vacancies will be filled by male candidates belonging to the respective communal categories.

vi) Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars which are false or suppress any material information in the application form. If it is proved that the information given by them are false, stern action would be taken.

vii) Candidates without having the prescribed educational & technical qualifications will be rejected.

viii) Qualified applicants will be called for, certificate verification and interview and written test if necessary.

ix) No travelling allowance for the candidates attending the certificate verification, written test and interview will be granted.

x) Selected candidates are liable to be appointed according to vacancies in any of the District.

xi) Date of certificate verification and interview will be intimated later.

xii) Influencing / Canvassing in any manner will be a disqualification.

NOTE:1

Minimum General Qualification means

(1) A pass in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination with eligibility for admission to College Course of Studies in the Universities in this State; or

(2) A pass in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination of this State.

• Explanation-(i) A person who had appeared for 11 year S.S.L.C. Public Examination and obtained 35% marks in each subject either in one sitting or compartmentally, shall be deemed to have passed the S.S.L.C. Public Examination.

• Explanation-(ii) A person who had appeared for 11 year S.S.L.C. Public

Examination and had failed to obtain 35% marks in one or more subjects, but who has appeared and obtained 35% marks in the corresponding subject or subjects in 10 year S.S.L.C. Public Examination, shall be deemed to have passed the S.S.L.C. Examination.

• Explanation-(iii) A person who had studied optional subjects in 11 year

S.S.L.C. and failed in the optional subjects but had obtained 35% marks in all other subjects expect the optional subjects in 11 year S.S.L.C. Public examination shall be deemed to have passed the S.S.L.C. Public examination.

• Explanation-(iv) A person who had appeared and passed the X standard

Government Examination conducted by the Board of Open School, Tamil Nadu shall be deemed to have passed S.S.L.C. Public Examination.

NOTE 2: (1) In the Turn details, W-Woman; P-Priority; NP-Non-priority; M-Muslims.

(2) If no qualified and suitable Women candidates are available for selection against the vacancies reserved for them, those vacancies will be filled by male candidates belonging to the respective communal categories.
